Phlebotomy is not part of GP core services and as such provision for patients in Newbury & District CCG has been made for this service at WBCH.

We provide a very limited in-house service for patients that have a serious difficulty, as assessed by a clinician, in attending WBCH and for some specific long term condition reviews. Our appointments in-house are in very short supply and unfortunately we do not have the resource to extend this service routinely for all patients.

You must take your blood form with you to your appointment.

If urgent blood tests have been requested by your GP this will have been noted on your blood form and you will be able to attend WBCH without an appointment.
